“Following an early career in buying, I joined Ena Shaw, my family’s soft furnishings business, in 1998. Tasked with business development, I launched Curtain Express in 1999, and have been determined to make made-to-measure curtains more accessible ever since. 

Following the closure of Ena Shaw in 2019, I started Richard Barrie (then known as RB Furnishings) with Steve Ross, focusing on independent retail, whilst maintaining the same quality and craftmanship that the customers of Ena Shaw knew and loved.

Together with our team, suppliers, and customers, we have created a business built on relationships, communication and trust. To this day, I am proud to head up Richard Barrie and look forward to the future.”

With expertise in strategic planning, direct sales, and trade show engagement, I combine commercial insight with a hands-on approach to identify new markets, build enduring partnerships, and present products and services with clarity and impact.
